Membership Categories
Types of Membership within SRSM
Regular Members
Annual dues payable: currently (2023) 100 USD
Regular members have the following privileges: attend and present papers at Annual Meetings,
participate in Business Meetings, nominate other members for office in the Society, hold offices in
the Society, vote in elections of the Society and upon issues calling for decision by members, serve
on committees of the Society, and receive any benefits negotiated by the Society.
Student Members
Annual dues payable: currently (2023) 50 USD
Student members have all the privileges of Regular membership except that they may not
participate in any Society vote.
Emeritus Members
Annual dues payable: none
A Regular member of at least 10 years standing who is 65 years of age or older or retired is eligible
for Emeritus membership. Eligible individuals will be notified and will decide whether to switch to
Emeritus status. Emeritus members retain all the privileges of Regular membership.
Fellows
Society Fellows are long-standing Regular or Emeritus members who have made exceptional
contributions to the field and to the Society.
Regular or student applicants primarily based in low- or middle-income countries (as currently defined by the World Bank) may request a waiver of their SRSM membership dues for the first 3 years of membership. If you are approved to be an SRSM member and if you request us to waive your annual membership fee, we will waive it for your first 3 years. Please email requests for waivers to [email protected].
