- Guaranteed slot submissions (SRSM members): SRSM members who submit abstracts by March 15, 2019 will be guaranteed a slot at the conference. Members who require a slot (e.g. as a condition of funding to attend the conference) are strongly encouraged to take this option.
- Guest submissions: Abstracts from guests of SRSM members. The deadline for guest submissions is March 15, 2019, and confirmation of success (or otherwise) will be provided by April 15.
- Discretionary slot submissions (SRSM members): We will do what we can to accommodate submissions from SRSM members between March 15 and April 15, 2019, but we cannot guarantee availability of a slot.
Important information about abstract submissions:
- SRSM is a multidisciplinary meeting with an intended mixed audience of research synthesis practitioners, statisticians, information scientists, qualitative researchers and other methodologists. Talks must cater to this general audience. Although the level of statistical sophistication is generally high, technical talks (especially those dominated by equations) are not appropriate for this meeting.
- We operate a 50/50 policy, with equal time dedicated to talks and to discussion of the talks. Abstracts and presentations should be prepared with this policy in mind.
- All talks will be provided with a 15 minute time slot, with 10 minutes for the paper, and 5 minutes for discussion.
